Es la costa más cercana al Triángulo del café. Esa zona cobra especial interés para nuestra región, porque allí se proyecta construir el puerto de Tribugá. Paisaje.

Bahía Solano (Chocó) es sinónimo de ecoturismo. Por eso allí los turistas tienen la posibilidad de vincularse a causas proteccionistas de los ecosistemas como el Proyecto Golfina que permite a los visitantes convertirse en padrinos de especies en vía de extinción como las tortugas.

El ambientalista César Isaza es el gerente del proyecto que libera constantemente, en presencia de la comunidad, cientos de tortuguitas hacia las aguas marítimas en el corregimiento de Valle. Las tortugas golfinas (Lepidochelis olivácea) desovan en las arenas de las playas, más de 58.000 neonatos al año.

Cerca de 60 mototaxis prestan el servicio en el municipio a donde solo se puede llegar vía aérea o marítima.

Bahía Solano despacha al mes 50 toneladas de pescado a Medellín, Quibdó, Bogotá, y comercia finas maderas llevadas por Barco a Buenaventura o a otros lugares de la costa. Se destaca el barco Renacer del Pacífico con capacidad para 350 toneladas que es la mejor opción para el transporte continuo desde y hacia Buenaventura.

En el municipio no existe un puerto que cumpla con las especificaciones que solicita una infraestructura de este tipo, sí funcionan embarcaderos ubicados en sitios que son elegidos más por tradición que por condiciones técnicas.

La única posibilidad real de transporte fluvial desde el área rural es con lanchas de mediano calado que utilizan indígenas y nativos que habitan en la ribera del Río Valle, en las que trasladan sus productos agrícolas y el pescado que llevan a vender a la cabecera municipal.

El mar es de un color peculiar, verde esmeralda.

Esta es la llamada ensenada de Utría.

Si se cuenta con suerte desde las playas se observan las ballenas jorobadas.
